Universal Screening

In speech-language pathology, psychoeducation and occupational therapy.
For one or more groups in your child care setting, with one hour per group.
An on-site visit to identify children who may benefit from support or a more in-depth assessment.
The Screening Process
Observation in the group
We observe children in their usual environment during play, interactions and routines to identify those who may benefit from support or a more in-depth assessment.
Feedback for the director
We share our observations about children for whom concerns have been identified, along with our recommendations. Based on each child’s needs, we explain which professionals could provide support or further assessment.
A simple process to arrange
There are no questionnaires or forms for parents or educators to complete. Screening takes place during the group’s regular activities, keeping preparation time to a minimum for your setting.
Guidance for families
Screening helps identify children who may need support early on and helps their parents better understand the concerns raised. It gives families clear guidance so they can connect sooner with professionals and services suited to their child’s needs.
Families who wish to do so can then receive follow-up support from our team based on the needs identified.
