Support for Your Child Care Team

Practical strategies for smoother daily routines
Strategies that don’t seem to be working, challenging routines or needs that are difficult to balance within the group?
We support your team in better understanding everyday situations and implementing strategies tailored to the children’s needs and the realities of your setting.
An approach we build together
Understand before intervening
We observe the group’s daily activities and speak with the educator to understand the challenges, the strategies already tried and what is working well. We identify priorities based on the children’s needs and the resources available.
Build an intervention plan together
Together with the educator, we develop an intervention plan with clear goals and practical strategies to use throughout the day. Our approach is supportive and realistic: it takes your constraints into account and builds on your team’s strengths.
Support you in putting strategies into practice
Follow-up sessions provide an opportunity to review everyday situations, recognize progress and adjust strategies. The educator has a space to ask questions and receive support in their work with the children.
Guidance for your team
Better-equipped educators, more consistent strategies and daily routines that support children’s participation in group activities.

An approach tailored to your setting
For one or more educators. Depending on the needs identified, support may be provided by a psychoeducator, an occupational therapist or a speech-language pathologist.
The frequency and duration of sessions are determined with the director based on the child care setting’s needs, availability and agreed-upon goals. They can be adjusted as support progresses.
Small-Group Consultation Sessions
Your questions. Real-life situations. Practical strategies.
A space for discussion where educators share the challenges they encounter in their groups, ask questions and explore strategies with a professional to support their daily work.
Examples of challenges we can discuss:
-
A child who hits, bites or pushes others.
-
Difficult transitions: tidying up, getting dressed or changing activities.
-
Persistent crying when separating from a parent.
-
A child who speaks little or has difficulty expressing their needs.
-
Sensitivities to noise or touch, and needs that are difficult to balance within the group.
-
A child whose speech is difficult to understand.
-
A child who seems to have difficulty understanding instructions.
-
Difficulties with dressing, using utensils or toileting routines.
-
A child who seeks a lot of movement and has difficulty participating in quieter activities.
Discussions are guided by your questions and the situations you bring to the session.
